Getting Ready for Spring!

Spring wreaths and birdhouses
Garden statues and birdhouses
Funky chairs, pots of greens and birdhouses
Funky furniture and accessories

Bird pictures and candleholders

Garden accessories and lamps
We know it’s early and spring hasn’t yet “sprung,” but it’s fun to anticipate the days that we can spend time in the garden, hands deep in soil, preparing our yards for the fun and family time that comes with warmer weather. In the meantime, you can bring the “garden” inside with accessories that create a springtime mood in your home. Think birds and birdhouses, pretty flowers in brightly colored pots and little garden statues that look just as good on your mantel as they do among the geraniums outside.
Our retail space at Summers Past Farm is so much fun to decorate and accessorize.  It’s here that we get a chance to anticipate the beauty of spring, and help our clients and friends get ready for it, too! Visit us and pick up a few accessories or a vintage piece of furniture to brighten up your home and get it, and your mood, ready for spring!

In the Mood for LOVE ♥

All you need is LOVE!
Love in every language!
"Poke a little red" for Valentine's Day
LOVE is the theme for February and Valentine’s Day.  One of our favorite quotes that we LOVE at At Home with Laurie Ann – which we credit to my mom – is “poke a little red.”  We use this quote whenever we are accessorizing  a space because it’s exactly what we do!  Red is one of my favorite colors, so “poking a little red” into my home decor for Valentine’s Day is an easy thing to do.  It should be an easy thing for you to do in your home as well.
The living room shown above belongs to one of our creative team members.  Because she uses red in her decor already – buffet lamps, velvet panels and silk florals in deep reds – adding a few Valentine-themed red throw pillows to the couch gives just the touch of color and fun to the room to make it festive without being too cutesy (as Valentine decorations tend to be).
Now you’re ready to get cozy by the fire, sit back and relax with a glass of wine and your favorite Valentine!
