Wedded Bliss!

The Bridal Party and Family

The Ray Girls
Our family has been busy getting ready for the wedding of our daughter, Stephanie, to her fiance, Tyler.  Their magical day was May 21st and the location was Vessels Ranch in Bonsall, CA.  This was the perfect setting for our Steph - horses have been such an important part of her life and getting married on such an amazing ranch felt just right.

It all started in an old white barn which was transformed with flowers, chandeliers and candles for the ceremony.

The view down the aisle.

Love all the rose petals!

Beautiful plantings at the barn entrance.

Country wedding views.

Gorgeous chandeliers with flowers nestled inside.

The adorable flower girl and ring bearer.

The happy couple!

Once the ceremony was finished and Mr. and Mrs. Tyler & Stephanie Peters were introduced, the procession of guests moved on to the reception area in a pasture down the hill.  The field was transformed with beautifully set tables with vintage glassware, lots of chandeliers, candles, twinkle and bulb lights, antique lounge furniture, a candy bar and much, much more...

Love the pink truck!

Fun way to show table assignments.

Sweets for the sweet!

yum, yum!

Relax by the dance floor!

Pretty guests and pretty flowers!

Getting Ready for Spring!

Spring wreaths and birdhouses
Garden statues and birdhouses
Funky chairs, pots of greens and birdhouses
Funky furniture and accessories

Bird pictures and candleholders

Garden accessories and lamps
We know it’s early and spring hasn’t yet “sprung,” but it’s fun to anticipate the days that we can spend time in the garden, hands deep in soil, preparing our yards for the fun and family time that comes with warmer weather. In the meantime, you can bring the “garden” inside with accessories that create a springtime mood in your home. Think birds and birdhouses, pretty flowers in brightly colored pots and little garden statues that look just as good on your mantel as they do among the geraniums outside.
Our retail space at Summers Past Farm is so much fun to decorate and accessorize.  It’s here that we get a chance to anticipate the beauty of spring, and help our clients and friends get ready for it, too! Visit us and pick up a few accessories or a vintage piece of furniture to brighten up your home and get it, and your mood, ready for spring!

In the Mood for LOVE ♥

All you need is LOVE!
Love in every language!
"Poke a little red" for Valentine's Day
LOVE is the theme for February and Valentine’s Day.  One of our favorite quotes that we LOVE at At Home with Laurie Ann – which we credit to my mom – is “poke a little red.”  We use this quote whenever we are accessorizing  a space because it’s exactly what we do!  Red is one of my favorite colors, so “poking a little red” into my home decor for Valentine’s Day is an easy thing to do.  It should be an easy thing for you to do in your home as well.
The living room shown above belongs to one of our creative team members.  Because she uses red in her decor already – buffet lamps, velvet panels and silk florals in deep reds – adding a few Valentine-themed red throw pillows to the couch gives just the touch of color and fun to the room to make it festive without being too cutesy (as Valentine decorations tend to be).
Now you’re ready to get cozy by the fire, sit back and relax with a glass of wine and your favorite Valentine!

Las Vegas Design Market

What a whirlwind week we had at the Las Vegas Design Market!

Three separate buildings with floors and floors filled with furnishings, home accessories and retail items were enough to overwhelm this design/creative team – but the inspiration we found gave us the energy to power through!  It was great to see old friends while visiting the vendors we’ve been with for years.  We also found plenty of new vendors to use in our model homes as well as new sources for our clients.  And, we are excited to bring the items we bought into our retail spaces.

We’ll post more pictures of items we found in the days to come… we’re excited to share them with you!
