God Bless America!

As we approach the Fourth of July and prepare for all the BBQs, picnics, bonfires and fireworks, it is a great time to reflect on the amazing things that our country stands for... freedom, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and so much more.  We thank our troops for protecting us here and abroad and pray for their safety.  We thank our forefathers for standing up for what they believed in and we hope that generations now and to come remember that those brave men and women gave their lives so many years ago to protect our freedom.

We will celebrate July 4th with my family in our home in Bend, Oregon.  We look forward to the parade, the streets lined with red, white and blue bunting, decorated porches and all the folks waiving American flags.  And most importantly, we thank God that we have the freedom to celebrate together.

I leave you with words that I  cherish on the 4th of July and every day of the year.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for all."

God Bless America!

We're Open! Visit Laurie Ann's Countryside Barn!

We are SO excited to invite you to visit our new location and the Grand Opening of Laurie Ann’s Countryside Barn!  We are back in our old neighborhood – Poway, CA – and we are thrilled to be back on Midland Road in the heart of Old Poway Park.

We have been working hard to get our store ready for you.  Our motto is “blending old with new” and the Countryside Barn is exactly that.  Vintage painted furniture mixed with brand new upholstered pieces.  Funky accessory finds and amazing new candle and diffuser scents.  Have you smelled a coconut milk mango candle before?  Absolutely intoxicating!

We hope you can make it over to our neck of the woods and browse our Countryside Barn.  Old Poway Park is the location of a fantastic farmer’s market on Wednesdays from 3-7 pm and a farmer’s/crafters market on Saturdays from 8-11:30 am.  Come ride the vintage 1907 Baldwin No. 3 Steam Locomotive, visit the Heritage Museum and Nelson House, tour historic buildings, or enjoy a peaceful picnic.

So, we invite you to enjoy a glass of lemonade, a yummy cookie and maybe pick up a little something for your friends or family – and especially – for YOU!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
